1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Maji website at maji.world, its public resources, calculators, forms, newsletters, and related communications. By using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. About Maji and the Website

Maji provides information and educational resources relating to activated sludge, biomass monitoring, wastewater-treatment processes, microorganisms, process calculations, and Maji products and services.

This public website is separate from any paid Maji platform or customer service. Use of a paid platform, consulting service, or other commercial service may be governed by a separate written agreement. If a separate agreement conflicts with these Terms, the separate agreement controls for the applicable service.

3. Educational Information, Not Operational Advice

Website articles, microorganism descriptions, case studies, calculators, newsletters, examples, and other materials are provided for general educational and informational purposes. They are not a substitute for site-specific engineering, laboratory analysis, professional judgment, regulatory advice, or an assessment by qualified personnel.

Wastewater-treatment conditions vary between facilities. You are responsible for verifying information, inputs, units, calculations, assumptions, and operating conditions before making a process, safety, environmental, compliance, or financial decision. Do not make an operational change solely on the basis of material published on this website or in a Maji newsletter.

4. Calculators

Maji calculators provide estimates based on the values, assumptions, equations, and units entered or displayed. Results may be affected by incomplete information, measurement error, site-specific conditions, rounding, unit selection, or software limitations.

You are responsible for checking calculator results before using them. Calculator results do not constitute a design, certification, compliance determination, or professional engineering recommendation.

5. Newsletters and Email Communications

If you subscribe to Maji updates, provide permission to receive them, or are otherwise eligible to receive a communication under applicable law, Maji may send newsletters and relevant professional information to your email address.

Newsletter frequency may vary. We do not guarantee a specific publication schedule, continued availability of any newsletter, or successful delivery to every inbox.

You may unsubscribe from marketing newsletters at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email. You may also contact offir@maji.world. An unsubscribe request does not prevent Maji from sending a message that is strictly necessary to respond to a request, provide a requested service, address security, or comply with law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Violate applicable laws or the rights of another person

You may view and use publicly available materials for ordinary personal or internal professional reference. Unless Maji gives prior written permission, you may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, license, create a competing database from, or commercially exploit a substantial part of the website or its content.

The website and newsletters may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, publications, or services. Maji does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their content, security, availability, or privacy practices.

Our website and communications use service providers such as Base44, Brevo, Google Analytics, and Google Workspace. Their use of information is further described in our Privacy Policy.

We may update, modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the website or its public features at any time. We do not guarantee that the website, a particular resource, a calculator, or a newsletter archive will always remain available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, newsletters, calculators, and public materials are provided "as is" and "as available." Maji disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, availability, and error-free operation.

Case studies and examples describe particular circumstances and do not guarantee that another facility, system, or user will achieve the same result.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Maji will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, business, opportunity, or goodwill, arising from or relating to use of the website, newsletters, calculators, third-party links, or public materials. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

13. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Maji harmless from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict or suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary to protect security, prevent abuse, comply with law, enforce these Terms, or protect Maji or another person. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including intellectual-property, disclaimer, liability, governing-law, and dispute provisions.

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Maji Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms but does not replace any consent that applicable law requires us to obtain separately.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any rights or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes relating to these Terms or the website will be submitted to the competent courts in Tel Aviv, Israel.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms when our website, services, or legal obligations change. We will publish the updated Terms on this page and revise the Last updated date. Changes will apply from the date stated in the updated Terms. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice.

18. Severability and No Waiver

If a provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision or any other right.
