New Open Resource: Wastewater Process Calculators
Maji recently launched a new open-resource page on the website: wastewater process calculators.
The page includes various calculators for common activated sludge process calculations, including:
SRT
WAS calculations
MLSS reduction scenarios
F:M ratio
SVI
RAS calculations
And more
Each calculator includes a short explanation, the required inputs, and the equations used in the calculation.
The goal was to build something practical and easy to use, but also useful from an educational point of view. Many process calculations are simple once the equation is clear, but they can still be confusing when units, assumptions, or input values are not presented properly.
We wanted the page to help users quickly calculate important process values and understand the logic behind them.

The calculators are designed for operators, process engineers, plant managers, students, and anyone working with activated sludge systems. They can be used as a quick reference during day-to-day operation, training, troubleshooting, or process review.
This is part of our broader effort to create useful open resources for the wastewater community.
Check it out under Resources -> Process Calculators on the website.
